The WSU Writing Program assists thousands of
students, faculty, and staff statewide with
writing needs each year through its WSU Junior
Writing Portfolio, peer tutoring for
undergraduates and graduates, assessment
evaluation testing, Writing Center, and
Writing in the Disciplines.

the Conference on Basic Writing, Washington State
University’s nationally acclaimed Writing Program helps
thousands of students statewide each year become more
effective writers. Part of the Office of Undergraduate
Education, the Writing Program offers peer mentoring and
tutoring for undergraduate and graduate students;
undergraduate skill assessments (including the WSU Junior
Writing Portfolio); facilitates workshops and professional
development opportunities for faculty assigning writing in
students’ major fields of study; and participates in
and leads Washington writing initiatives.
