eTutoring Available 24/7
A new online writing tutorial program -- available at eTutoring.org -- became available for WSU students in January 2008. It replaced the former Online Writing Lab (OWL) that had been in service since 1995.
WSU is one of several colleges in the Northwest to participate in the eTutoring program. All WSU students, including those in Pullman, Spokane, Tri-Cities, Vancouver, and Yakima, plus all Distance Degree Programs students, are encouraged to use the system. Thanks to this "consortium" effort, trained peer tutors from the participating schools are scheduled to staff the online operation.
Students submitting writing for help should get feedback from a trained tutor - usually between 24 and 48 hours. Tutors may be from any participating college -- including WSU.
eTutoring ...
- is available only to registered WSU students.
- will also provide tutoring help in math, statistics, accounting, and biology, with a 48-hour response time. This tutoring is unrelated to the Writing Program
