College Success in THREE Easy Steps

Are you struggling with writing assignments and receiving low grades? Don’t worry. Following are 3 tips that your professor doesn’t want you to know and that will help you get the grade you truly deserve-

  • TIP NUMBER 1- class participation

Don’t go to class or listen to your professor. In fact, completely ignore them and their emails. This way, you’ll be able to establish dominance and show them that you’re a busy person who has a life outside of school. If you do end up going to class, don’t act too interested. Be on your phone and make minimal eye contact. In fact, plug in some headphones and take a nap for maximum effect. This will set you apart from all other students and will let your professor know that you are an important person who does interesting things outside of school. This works great especially when they are assigning homework.

  • TIP NUMBER 2 – following guidelines

Assignment instructions/guidelines are simply suggestions. Go ahead and talk about your new car for your history assignment. It’s still writing, right? This way, you’re doing your professor a favor. They don’t want 500 papers on the same topic. Variety and new ideas will make grading easier for your professor. For help to avoid assignment instructions, refer to Tip Number 1.

  • TIP NUMBER 3- using resources

Come in to the WC 15 minutes before your assignment is due. This helps the tutors think fast and increase the velocity of their neuron functioning, as science has shown. This is efficient as well because then you can spend all the other time that you saved not seeking help sooner, on ignoring your professor and practicing Tip Number 1. You could also use that time to ask your parents for a new car so that you can write your essays (refer to Tip Number 2). When you are assigned a tutor at the WC, provide as little information as possible. This makes the tutor’s job interesting by leaving room for imagination and they can get creative with your paper. Like I said, instructions are merely suggestions (refer to Tip Number 2). When the tutor attempts to ask more questions, make noises like “hm” or if they keep pushing for verbal communication, push your laptop towards them and say, “sounds like you’ve got this.” Refer to tip number 1 for more ideas on how to treat them with the same respect as you would your professors.

So, now, you are ready to go and conquer your education!!..

..To be honest, these tips are ridiculous and the only way to succeed is through hard work and discipline.

A lot of college classes demand writing and the best way to get the most out of your education is to fully utilize the various resources available to you such as faculty, writing centers, and libraries.

Going to class, actively participating, keeping in touch with professors, paying attention to assignment guidelines, and meeting with librarians for research assistance are some ways to make sure you are engaged in your learning and getting the most out of your college experience.

Writing centers are a great resource and can provide help throughout various stages of writing. Coming in with at least an hour for discussion and a couple days before the assignment due date is essential. Honest communication with the tutors, faculty and other persons will help you achieve your goals and receive the guidance you need.
College is fun and you have a lot of support available to you to help you be successful. Use it ❤️
