The Writing Center offers support to all WSU students across all campuses, including: Pullman, Spokane, Tri Cities, Vancouver, Everett, and Global.

The Undergraduate Writing Center provides support to students as they clarify, develop, and articulate their ideas in writing.

The Writing Center is a place to talk through your ideas and strengthen your writing. Our consultants help students clarify, develop, and communicate their ideas on the page. You can visit us at any stage of the writing process, whether you’re brainstorming, drafting, or revising.

We can help with:

  • Brainstorming ideas
  • Understanding an assignment prompt
  • Developing a thesis
  • Organizing your argument
  • Integrating research, synthesizing sources, and formatting citations
  • Getting feedback on how readers respond to your writing
  • Revising drafts

We work with students on many kinds of writing, including:

  • Research papers and essays
  • Personal statements and resumes
  • Lab reports and other technical writing
  • Undergraduate theses and capstone projects

Our consultants work with writers from every major and can support writing for any class.
